San Ignacio to Mulege

Wow what a day . Started out on pavement for 30 miles and the interred the salt flats on the Pickford ocean side.  When's through a little village that looks like plywood hut on the beach. . We ripped through 40 miles of beach and sand. . We stopped in a little fishing village and got gas and a beer. . Gas is from a drum and just siffined into the bikes. . Next we continued on and decided to go to San Jaunito (scorpion bay) a world famous surf destination. We had fish tacos and beer, then bought gas and head to Mulege. ( they tell me never pas up a chance for gas in Baja). 25 mile of dirt road and the 25 miles of the most spectacular cannons so far. I am very tired and did take pics to be added later. We got in to the hotel and had yellow fin tune ( fresh catch) with garlic. It was fabulous. Two margaritas and in bed by 8:30. Not all was good. Dal, Mat and Shelbey opted for the red route and end up not making it to the destination and they ended up in a rock garden caused by hurecaine. The spent the night in San Ignasio. . Hassan's  ktm690  busted a rod and was towed into camp at a10:00pm. Chris fell and broke his gas tank and his new one arrive today

Welcome to Baja

  1. A day of challenge, but better than rain and mud and the chance to sleep under a tumbleweed.
